The Government wants to tighten the legal framework in force in the country, regarding the fight against terrorism and organized crime. To this end, the parliament approved this Thursday, in general, the proposal to revise the law on preventing and combating money laundering and financing of terrorism and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. On the basis of the Law, the Minister of Justice for Constitutional and Religious Affairs explained that the law now approved will inhibit and hinder the use of the financial system and other sectors of economic activity for organized and transnational crime. Systems for increased check and balances on law and order institutions were not announced in connection to the new law.
